Our authentication process

Panorama is a boutique at 7 rue Baour-Lormian in Toulouse, with a team that handles Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Céline, Dior, and Hermès pieces every day. This daily practice is the foundation of our expertise: when you hold dozens of authentic pieces in your hands every week, any inconsistency jumps out at you.

Our rule is simple: no piece is put up for sale without being checked, and if any doubt remains at any stage, the piece is not sold.

A systematic double check

First check, upon receipt. As soon as it arrives with us, each piece is examined from every angle: materials, construction, markings, codes. A piece that does not pass this first filter is immediately rejected and never joins our stock.

Second check, before being put up for sale. Before being photographed and published on the website or presented in the boutique, the piece is fully re-examined. Two separate validations: there is no room for counterfeits.

What we concretely check

Provenance. We select our supply channels with the same rigor as the pieces themselves. The origin of each piece is studied even before the physical examination.

Materials. The grain of the leather, its suppleness, its smell, the hold of the canvas. The materials of the major fashion houses have precise characteristics that copies, even sophisticated ones, do not faithfully reproduce.

Stitching and construction. Regularity of the stitches, thread tension, alignment of patterns at the panel junctions. On an authentic piece, everything is millimeter-precise. This is one of the points where counterfeits most often give themselves away.

Hardware. Weight of the clasps, sharpness of the engravings, finish of the zippers. The metalwork of an authentic piece has a density that is recognizable at first contact.

Markings and codes. Hot stamping, typography, Louis Vuitton date codes, holograms, and Chanel chips depending on the period of manufacture. Beyond their presence, we check their consistency with the model, the era, and the finishes of the piece. A correct code on an inconsistent piece will not pass.

The same level of rigor applies to our sneakers and clothing: each pair and each piece is checked before shipping.

What you receive with each piece

Each item sold at Panorama is accompanied by an invoice. For leather goods, we add a certificate of authenticity: a document that serves as proof, including the day you wish to resell your piece.
